Privacy & Data Retention
Last updated July 31, 2026
This page explains, in plain terms, what WeaveShift stores when you use the product, how long each kind of data sticks around, and what's deleted automatically. It's a description of how the system actually behaves, not just a promise — the retention windows below are the same settings the backend runs on.
What we store
- The audio you upload — your source tracks, while a mix is being planned and rendered.
- The mixes we generate — the finished continuous mix (and, for setlists, per-transition preview snippets).
- Account info — the name and email your Google account provides when you sign in. We don't collect or store passwords; sign-in is handled entirely by Google.
- Billing info — your subscription status and usage minutes. Payment details (card numbers, etc.) are handled directly by Stripe and never touch our servers.
- Job history — a lightweight record of past renders (which profile you used, when, and the outcome) so your history list works. This record does not include the audio itself once the underlying file has been deleted.
How long audio is kept
Every file kind has its own retention window, enforced automatically by a scheduled cleanup job — not something you need to request:
Your account and plan
Moving between the trial, Free, Pro, and Studio tiers never deletes your account, your remaining usage allowance, or any mix that's still inside its 30-day window — plan changes and file retention are handled independently.
Cookies
WeaveShift uses exactly one cookie: a session cookie, set when you sign in with Google, that keeps you logged in. It's marked HTTP-only and secure, sent only to our own servers, and cleared when you log out or it expires. That's it — no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and no third-party cookies set on this domain.
If you subscribe to Pro or Studio, billing happens on Stripe's own hosted checkout page — any cookies Stripe sets live on Stripe's domain, not ours.
Because this cookie is strictly necessary to keep you signed in — not used for tracking or advertising — there's no cookie-consent banner on this site; there's nothing to opt into or out of.
Third parties
We use Google for sign-in (via Google Identity Services) and Stripe for billing. Neither sees your audio files — Google only confirms who you are, and Stripe only handles payment. We don't sell or share your tracks, mixes, or account data with anyone else.
Deleting your data early
Retention above is automatic and time-based — there's currently no self-serve "delete now" button in the app. If you'd like a file or your account data removed sooner, email us at [email protected] and we'll handle it manually.
Changes to this policy
If our retention windows or data practices change, we'll update this page and move the date above.
